Job DescriptionYou will be a team member of our Global P&C CUO Portfolio Monitoring Team. This team operates transversally across all the P&C Lines of Business, collaborating with underwriters, pricers, modelers, and many others to provide analytics on the exposure of the company’s portfolio to multiple perils.ResponsibilitiesAfter adequate training, you will actively participate in the development of processes and tools to better monitor and understand our exposure. These may imply multiple topics, such as:<ul><li>As a global reinsurer, we inherit the exposure of our 2000+ clients, which is challenging to assess and monitor.</li><li>Our team has been working on a project to better understand our underlying risks and their exposure to catastrophes. We have built strong processes for data gathering and referencing, creating an ‘exposure library’. We have now started to develop analysis tools to visualize and contextualize our clients’ risks.</li><li>Extension of modeling to specific classes of business and other perils. In addition to this exposure library, we need to develop methods to compute various metrics on its content and visualize/contextualize the results. Within SCOR's Group Actuarial Department the P&amp;C Reserving team supports the activity of the Group Chief Actuary.You will support the Head of Group P&amp;C Reserving Department in their core function of providing an independent assurance on SCOR Group IFRS 17 and SII reserves adequacy. This includes independent reserving review, validation of model changes, validation and calibration of P&amp;C reserving input to internal model. The Department is in charge of defining overarching governance in term of methodology, standards and guidelines.The Department supports the Actuarial Function holder in the production of the Actuarial Function Report and other related documents and reports, for both Group and local entities.
