Actuarial Analyst (Pricing)

Hybrid working with up to 4 days per week working from home

Up to £52K per annum dependent upon experience base + bonus, pension, private health & optional study support

We consider all types of flexibility, including locations, hours and working patterns

About the area you’ll be working in…

The Actuarial Pricing Analyst will be part of a team that is critical to the strategic success of Bupa, contributing to the development and evolution of our pricing strategy, and delivering pricing which helps Bupa achieve its goals.

You will make a significant impact on Bupa’s pricing strategy and enjoy a diverse variety of actuarial work.

What you'll be doing…

  • Actuarial support for the development of pricing recommendations
  • Analysis of historical performance
  • Identifying trends and outcomes
  • Ad hoc actuarial projects – customer retention, satisfaction and product enhancements
  • Support business plans
  • Liaise with Claims Analytics, Product, Sales, Finance and Marketing teams

Who we’re looking for…

  • Part-Qualified Actuary (IFoA) or previous experience in actuarial pricing
  • General, Health or Life experience
  • Pricing knowledge and knowledge on Generalised Linear Modelling or regression modelling will be an advantage
  • High proficiency in Excel and at least some user experience with SAS
  • Loves customers, organised, adaptable and willing to learn!
