Senior Actuary (Client Management)

About the Role

  • Oversee client relationships and advise clients on their reinsurance needs from a commercial and actuarial perspective.
  • Further grow our reinsurance business by developing new products and new partnerships.
  • Supervise and analyse new business statistics and technical accounts to steer conditions, reinsurance pricing and profitability.
  • Maintain, develop and supervise benchmarking and pricing for L&H products and update pricing tool for the market.
  • Price reinsurance terms for new and existing products.
  • Assume end-to-end accountability for the own portfolio of clients and products.

About the Team

The Paris-based L&H market team is responsible for pricing all L&H reinsurance business in France across multiple lines (life, health, accident, disability, long term care, critical illness) while also contributing to initiatives across the EMEA region. Our ambition is to deliver the best possible service to our clients at sustainable margins. We are committed, collaborative, encouraging of one another, and we do all the hard-work while having a lot of fun!

About You

  • Several years of experience as Business Developer and L&H pricing actuary (reinsurance or primary insurance).
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant statistical and actuarial models.
  • Proven experience in statistical tools.
  • Understanding of the French L&H (re)insurance market, products and trends.
  • Experience in client management (reinsurance field is welcomed).
  • Proficient in French and English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of main financial and accounting standards.
