The L&amp;H Actuarial Closing - Valuation Actuary is a member of the L&amp;H Actuarial Closing team, which is responsible for the delivery of the Life technical reporting to the downstream systems under both Solvency II and IFRS17. The Head of L&amp;H Actuarial Technical Support is a key member of the L&amp;H Financial Reporting team, working closely with all other Group Chief Accounting Officer teams, L&amp;H Business Unit Operational teams and other teams (most notably Group Finance, Group IT as well as external IT development teams).The L&amp;H CSM Engine is a SAS tool calculating key IFRS17 results related to the actuarial liabilities: the PVFCF, Risk Adjustment (based on pre-defined input), CSM and Loss Component. The non-life pricing team Cologne in which this position would be located takes care of Scandinavia, Netherlands, Germany and South Eastern Europe.Key duties and responsibilities<ul><li>Responsible for in-time and high quality market pricing<ul><li>Develop local pricing models and benchmarks, collect market knowledge and data</li><li>Advise local underwriting teams in complex and comprehensive actuarial matters</li><li>Monitor and ensure day-to-day support for pricing, risk assessment for opportunities, governance and process compliance, feed the tools, and collaborate with Underwriting teams for delivery</li><li>Participate in client visits to explain and discuss our pricing approaches / support underwriting</li><li>Support business functions on product development (pricing, risk &amp; profitability).</li></ul></li><li>Monitor and ensure pricing processes, governance, methods and tools<ul><li>Participate in development of pricing processes (guidelines)</li><li>Initiate and actively participate in the evolution of global pricing methods and tools</li><li>Develop training measures for underwriting teams with regard to methods, tools, governance and processes</li><li>Ensure proper pricing risk management by monitoring of application of processes, e.g. via peer reviews</li></ul></li><li>Special Projects:<ul>
