The Opportunity
We are seeking top actuarial talent to join our dynamic and high performing Large Accounts Pricing team. The team is responsible for supporting the pricing and profitability of commercial accounts with premium above $2M at Aviva, as well as accounts involving complex or unique structures.
As part of the team, you will be responsible for providing actuarial analysis on Property, Casualty, and Auto products and collaborating with underwriters and leadership in these areas. The team plays a key role in supporting the financial goals of the commercial insurance business.
What you’ll do:
- Conduct indication analysis to ensure rate adequacy of individual accounts.
- Lead pricing reviews of high value complex portfolios and provide rate recommendations.
- Recommend alternative pricing solutions based on the unique characteristics of the large accounts.
- Evaluate and quantify credit risk for accounts with large retentions.
- Effectively communicate results of analyses to managers, underwriters, brokers, and senior management to deliver impactful solutions.
- Drive process improvements and automation opportunities to improve sophistication, efficiency, and analytical capabilities.
- Coach and mentor senior and junior analysts and co-op students.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 4 years of P&C actuarial experience.
- Completion of 6+ CAS exams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate analytical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a collaborative environment.
What makes you stand out:
- Proficiency in programming and data analysis; experience with SAS, VBA, Python, R, or other analytical tools.
What you’ll get:
- The salary band for this position ranges from $105,000 to $134,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as internal equity.
