Retirement Local Practice Leader
Locations: Washington DC or Baltimore MD
The Core Retirement Local Practice Leader (LPL) is viewed as the leader of the office for Core Retirement colleagues and in the local market. The LPL should display leadership and strong business judgment. The LPL reports directly to both the applicable Aon Market Leader and Regional Practice Leader (RPL) for Core Retirement through our helix reporting structure.
Market and revenue growth responsibilities include:
- Profitably growing the Retirement business in the local market, including overseeing current client retention and growth
- Overseeing acquisition of new clients and go-to-market activities in the local market, including deploying a broader retirement market plan (e.g., solutions, initiatives, targeting)
- Increasing Aon, Wealth, and Retirement practice visibility and raising our profile in the local market
- Connecting to other practices/solution lines in the local market, ensuring we present ourselves as one Aon
Business management and talent responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the “running of the business” for the local market, including general operations, financial management, and delivering quality service and professional excellence
- Overseeing management of colleagues, including career development, staffing clients and prospects aligned to the office, talent acquisition, and colleague engagement
- Communicating the firm’s direction, vision, and values to the local team
- Collaborating across Aon solution lines in the local market to maintain and grow office culture, as well as develop and engage colleagues
- Ensuring compliance with Aon, Wealth, and Retirement policies and application of best practices
- Responsible for attaining specific target revenue growth, sales, productivity, and operational measures in the local market
- Serve as the Executive Sponsor and/or strategic lead for several clients and/or prospects
- Skills: Actuarial, Client Facing, People Management
Qualifications: 12-15 years of Retirement or Pension Experience
Required: ASA OR FSA Credentials
Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $245k-$280k annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
