Senior Actuarial Analyst
About the role
To support the ANZ Pricing & ES team by providing technical expertise in respect of product pricing, experience studies, and other initiatives.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the pricing actuaries in pricing treaties for the ANZ market; responsibilities will focus on Open Treaty Reviews.
- Support ES requirements for the region if any.
- Provide quote support/advisory recommendations for various Lines of Business and maintenance of pricing Terms of Trade.
- Provide support in inputs through analysis and maintenance of pricing Terms of Trade.
- Support the ANZ pricing actuaries in any local/regional projects as required.
- Work effectively with a cross-functional team of experts from client markets, underwriting, and claims towards assessing the risk associated with a treaty or opportunity.
- Provide technical, research, and project management input for product development initiatives and pricing policy.
- Ensure adherence to pricing guidelines and standard methodologies, and their consistent application.
- Mentor the junior associates of the team.
Key Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent technical knowledge in all areas of pricing, experience studies, and product development.
- Ability to apply actuarial judgment in a commercial environment.
- Good understanding of actuarial standard methodologies.
- Knowledge of actuarial L&H modeling and data analytical software: SAS and R.
- Organization, prioritization, and planning skills.
- Knowledge of L&H actuarial modeling and data analytical software.
About the Team
Part of the pricing & underwriting services team with around 80+ members between Actuarial and Underwriting teams located in Bangalore. This role will be supporting the Australia and New Zealand market (ANZ) for reinsurance pricing - actuarial and experience studies.
About you
- Strong actuarial experience in the insurance/reinsurance sector, ideally 2+ years of experience preferably in pricing or ES.
- Experience in actuarial product design, pricing & ES, including the use of any actuarial pricing tools will be an advantage.
- Good actuarial exam progress for actuarial institutes.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
