Description and Requirements
Role Value Proposition:
Responsible for USGAAP reporting and analysis in the Malaysia Center of Excellence (CoE) for the assigned Local Business Units (LBU): Japan. Collaborate with the LBU on related business concerns and drive continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support USGAAP actuarial financial reporting (e.g. DAC, VOBA) for assigned LBU and feed journal entry support information to Controllers group.
- Support for documentation of USGAAP production and analysis.
- Collaborate with peers to fully understand the needs and issues related to assigned LBU.
- Execute and improve existing controls on the reporting process.
- Identify potential process enhancement opportunities and execute the necessary changes.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:
- Bachelor degree in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science and at least 1 year working experience.
- Good progress in SOA Actuarial Examination.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to analyze, interpret and address customer needs.
- Experience on actuarial and coding software such as Python, Prophet or Axis is useful.
