Analyst

We're hiring! We are looking for an Analyst, Actuarial Analytics to join our Reinsurance team in KL, Malaysia. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from the office.

What the day will look like

  • Model various reinsurance structures to manage risk and implementation of them within the modelling framework.
    • Use various actuarial pricing techniques such as experience and exposure rating, and perform stochastic modelling (DFA) analyses utilising our proprietary modelling software ReMetrica.
    • Embed financial modeling capabilities into client teams across existing portfolio and new business opportunities. Meaningful involvement in accounts with seamless interaction with broader broking team encompassing client strategy and direction beyond strict analytical processing.
  • Provide service that exceeds our clients' expectations and outshines our competitors' service offering through:
    • Prompt response to our clients' needs and wants – anticipate client needs through understanding their business and objectives.
    • Support development and closure of product innovation, both to cement and expand existing relationships to facilitate entry into new ones.
  • Responsibility as actuarial modelling contact:
    • End to end project management to ensure allocated analysis and client deliverables are met.
    • Liaising with clients and colleagues to establish client project objectives, outcomes, and manage these projects through this period.
  • Ensure the optimum use of Reinsurance Solutions business systems in line with current Aon business practices.
  • Drive, improve and share technical expertise in specialist areas, as well as improving technical knowledge in associated areas.
  • Do presentations and conduct training sessions, ensuring the effective and efficient communication of concepts and key outcomes to both colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and adhere to strict deadlines.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Studies, Financial Mathematics, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Economics, Finance or any other relevant analytical field.
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong analytical and good Excel skills.
  • Attention to details and ability to analyze data and check its accuracy.
  • Intellectual curiosity, optimism and can-do attitude.
  • Desire to learn and develop your skills.
