Business Intelligence Consultant I

Job Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

  • Develop, automate, and optimize Power BI dashboards, SAS codes, and SQL programs to analyze complex datasets and answer specific business questions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, advise on best metrics, and propose data-driven solutions that drive business forward.
  • Summarize and present analytical findings, focusing on value-added insights to help partners better manage their business.
  • Lead multiple project streams by providing technical direction, designing solutions, and automating quality assurance steps.
  • Prioritize business needs with management and comprehensively document processes, requirements, and definitions.
  • Optional: Extensive knowledge and use of Microsoft SQL Server and associated services (SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS).

Qualifications & Experience:

  • University Degree (Math/Stats/Engineering or similar) preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience (Marketing, Actuarial, or Analytics) with at least 2 years using Base SAS/EG, SQL, and Power BI.
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft suite (Power Automate, Forms, Excel, PowerPoint) and a sound knowledge of relational database structures.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including experience presenting findings to partners.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to identify new techniques for improving performance and productivity.
  • Experience with insurance data is considered a plus.
