Tax Analyst IV (Nonprofit Health Care)
This position is hybrid; however, candidates must reside within the States that we operate in, which include California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Oregon, and Virginia.
The Tax Analyst IV is a senior level individual contributor responsible for federal and state compliance, and research for large nonprofit healthcare organizations. This role supports exempt and taxable entities, with a primary focus on nonprofit tax matters including Forms 990 and 990 T.
The position partners closely with Tax Managers, Finance, Accounting, Legal, and external advisors to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant tax filings. It also supports audits, planning initiatives, and special projects.
Will research and analyze tax issues affecting nonprofit and healthcare organizations, including unrelated business income, exempt organization rules, and state specific requirements. The analyst will prepare clear, well-supported memoranda summarizing technical conclusions and practical recommendations.
Additionally, the analyst will monitor changes in federal, state, and local tax laws and assess impacts to the organization.

- Conducts external reporting of Company financial information by completing and reviewing reports for statutory reporting to external agencies.
- Supports financial analyses by examining operational statistics to explain financial results and inform decision-making.
- Communicates financial results by presenting conclusions about areas of accountability to appropriate levels of management.
- Participates in finance system design, implementations, enhancements, and continuous improvements.
- Monitors Company financial information by completing and reviewing standard and/or ad hoc reports.
- Meets requirements of policies and procedures to remain compliant.
- Supports internal and external audits by preparing complex audit schedules and reviewing information for submission to auditors.
- Minimum two (2) years tax experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field AND Minimum five (5) years accounting or related business experience.
- Additional equivalent work experience in a directly related field may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Two (2) years property tax experience.
- Two (2) years municipality audit experience.
