Make your mark in the A&H Actuarial Team

Our A&H Actuaries are on the front lines, quantifying risk, pricing insurance, and providing key analyses for AIG’s stakeholders. We collaborate with multiple functions, including Finance, Claims, Operations, Marketing, and Underwriting. As an AIG actuary, you will be challenged and encouraged to reach your greatest potential to help improve how we predict, manage, and mitigate risk.

How you will create an impact

Your expertise in A&H risk management and pricing will be key in leading your team to provide technical pricing guidance, product development analytics, performance measurement, and financial reporting. This will ensure alignment with regulatory standards and corporate goals in support of the A&H business.

Responsibilities include

  • Drive product innovation by collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new products to market. Your knowledge of A&H products and analytical techniques will ensure competitive design and pricing.
  • Assess and provide risk mitigation solutions to ensure alignment with corporate goals and regulatory standards.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership, influencing strategic decisions related to budget, product design, portfolio management, and business segments.
  • Mentor a team of actuaries and analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and actuarial best practices.
  • Independently and effectively engage with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects such as transformation projects for Pricing Management Reporting and budget and reinsurance planning.

What we are looking for

  • BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area.
  • ASA / ACAS Designation is preferred.
  • At least 8+ years of actuarial experience, A&H pricing experience preferred.
  • Advanced experience with Excel, Python, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge with R and/or other data visualization software is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

The base salary range for this position is $148,000-$185,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. In addition, we’re proud to offer a range of competitive benefits.
