Provide actuarial services to support our operations in Asia. This includes reserving, reporting, portfolio management, pricing, renewals, and technical analysis.

You will enhance claim modelling, lead efficiency-focused transformation projects, and build positive partnerships by offering expert guidance to both stakeholders and colleagues.

Your New Role

  • Manage the quarterly reserve valuation and annual business planning exercise for Asia Actuarial Regional team.
  • Review the reasonableness of the country's reserve valuation result and ensure all internal and external reporting requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Demonstrate judgement in setting assumptions and understanding the impact on key profit drivers and performance metrics.
  • Perform portfolio analysis, enhance models to analyze claim trends, and identify risk associated with the adequacy of technical reserves.
  • Manage the actuarial transformation project to improve efficiency of the quarterly reserving process.
  • Produce accurate management information and provide technical insights for stakeholders to make business decisions.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance to team members and stakeholders.

About You

  • Relevant actuarial experience in General Insurance.
  • Progress towards actuarial fellowship.
  • Advanced Excel, SAS, and intermediate MS Access skills, Python.
  • Understanding of industry practice in actuarial analysis and modelling.
