Graduate (Except technical graduates)

Required Years of Experience:

3-6 years of progressive, relevant experience in group insurance would be considered an asset.

General Description of Role:

Assist consultants and other stakeholders for Canada Health and Benefits domain, delivering RFP/Renewal reports to the clients. Supporting client teams in the servicing of clients with respect to plan design, contract management, and benchmarking.

Working with senior team members, you will be involved with a variety of client deliverables including but not limited to contract reviews, plan design summaries, and prevalence benchmarking.

Delivering reports based on various parameters such as premium, claims, and loss ratios. The process involves analysis of healthcare products information provided by vendors and onshore consultants pertaining to premium, claims, and plan attributes.

You will be involved with a variety of client deliverables that empower our clients to make informed decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate as part of a team under the supervision of Project Lead/Ops Manager.
  • Review and analyze contracts, amendments, employee booklets, and financial agreements for plan changes, change in carrier, and new client onboarding, and prepare plan summaries with supporting commentary for client teams.
  • Review, audit, and maintain client plan information.
  • Create and review plan prevalence benchmarking reports.
  • Provide technical consulting support on client projects, including preparing related letters, reports, and analyses.
  • Analyze claims experience and financial/underwriting results, including identifying anomalies, estimating future plan costs, developing pricing models, and supporting renewal and rating negotiations.
  • Maintain and review data collection and accuracy in Aon’s proprietary client information platform.
  • Draft reports and correspondence, and perform peer reviews of data and reports.
  • Assist consultants in client meetings and draft presentations to clients.
  • Assist with ad-hoc client requests, work with carriers and other business units to resolve and support clients.
  • Continuously develop technical and consulting skills, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of group systems, products, and technology.
  • Lead and execute projects in line with SLA requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Aon to apply established methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Manage stakeholders through clear, proactive communication, regular updates, and effective query resolution.
  • Build team capability by coaching Junior Analysts and contributing to training and material development.

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Business Management, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong technical expertise and working knowledge of the Health & Benefits domain and related analytics/consulting work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data-driven solutions.
  • Demonstrated project management capability, with experience independently leading projects to successful delivery.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills and ability to align differing viewpoints to practical solutions.
  • Proven coaching and feedback skills, with experience developing junior team members.
  • Excellent business communication skills (written, verbal, and presentations) with fluency in English.
  • Flexible, proactive, and accountable, with a collaborative approach to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Self-driven, with a strong analytical mindset and robust problem-solving skills.
