CFO Office Manager (Actuarial Reserving)

About the Role
As the CFO Office Manager for Actuarial Reserving, you'll serve as a critical connector between leadership and teams, supporting strategic initiatives while ensuring smooth operational execution. You'll have the unique opportunity to gain comprehensive insights into Finance operations while contributing to transformative projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support strategic initiatives, including change management, communication, and stakeholder alignment.
- Partner with HR and Finance to manage headcount planning, recruitment, and onboarding.
- Track and monitor the function’s financial and CO2 budget, ensuring alignment with targets.
- Collaborate with Finance to manage forecasts and identify variances.
- Monitor and respond to EES results. Partner with leadership to identify themes, develop action plans, and implement initiatives that enhance team culture, collaboration, and retention.
- Support the preparation of executive-level reporting for senior management, including updates to respective committees, leadership teams, and other senior stakeholder meetings.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of internal communications, leadership updates, and team-wide announcements.
- Organise and manage logistics for offsites, town halls, and leadership workshops — ensuring alignment with strategic themes and engagement goals.
- Identify and implement process improvements across reserving operations, leveraging automation, data analytics, and best practices from the Reserving Best Practice framework.
About the Team
The Group Finance CFO Office is a diverse team of professionals supporting the Head of Non-Life Actuarial Reserving and the Actuarial Reserving Leadership Team. Working closely with our DOO Actuarial Reserving, we ensure seamless execution of operations across global teams while supporting transformation initiatives and embedding robust governance standards. Our team serves as trusted partners to colleagues in Actuarial Reserving, Finance, and beyond.
About You
You're a proactive problem-solver with excellent organizational skills and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes. Your communication skills allow you to translate complex concepts into clear messages, and you thrive in environments requiring both analytical thinking and interpersonal finesse. You're comfortable working autonomously while maintaining alignment with broader team objectives.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- University degree in business, economics, mathematics, finance, or related discipline supporting analytical work.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with fluency in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, MS Teams, SharePoint, and collaboration tools.
- Experience in structuring and preparing presentations tailored to specific audiences.
These are additional nice to haves:
- Experience working in a finance or actuarial environment.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
- Experience with change management in complex organizations.
- Background in budget management and financial reporting.
- Previous experience supporting leadership teams or executive offices.
For Switzerland, the base salary range for this position is between 94,000 CHF and 142,000 CHF for a full-time role. The specific salary offered considers the requirements, scope, complexity, and responsibilities of the role, as well as the applicant's profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills, and experience.
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
