Director, Analytics Actuarial

What the day will look like
- Reinsurance related analysis (actuarial analysis, catastrophe modelling, reinsurance pricing, Retro Rollups, DFA etc.)
- Consultancy related projects (IFRS 17, reserve etc.)
- Assisting clients in understanding their exposure to insurance risk and determining the optimal reinsurance arrangements meeting their risk, return and capital requirements
- Present analysis report, interpret catastrophe modelling results and make subsequent reinsurance recommendations to internal and external clients
- Perform client training sessions to introduce analytics related materials
- Team leadership to guide and provide mentorship to junior analysts
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Degree in actuarial science, statistics, data science or in related fields
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in the insurance or re-insurance industry
- Experience in catastrophe modelling with advanced level of model knowledge
- An understanding of the various reinsurance structures to manage risk and implementation of them within the modelling framework
- Able to independently deal with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent organization skills and interpersonal skills
