Actuarial Post-Graduation Intern

Temporary Full Time

Canada Life, one of Canada’s leading life insurance and financial services companies, is seeking individuals for our Actuarial Intern program. This program is aimed at applicants with a completed post-secondary degree who are looking to enter the actuarial field. Applicants must have demonstrated a recent commitment to obtaining a professional actuarial designation, though prior actuarial work experience is not a requirement.

Positions are available for both 8 and 12-month temporary full-time roles, beginning May 4, 2026. If permanent full-time positions become available during the contractual term, you may be eligible to transition to those positions without needing to complete the contract.

This is a hybrid role located at our London head office. The successful applicant will be required to work in person in London 3 days per week.

As an Actuarial Intern, you are a key member of a highly respected, professional actuarial team and will have an opportunity to perform entry-level actuarial work in one of the following possible areas:

  • Pricing & Product Development
  • Valuation
  • Enterprise Risk Management
  • Reinsurance
  • Risk Research
  • Corporate Actuarial
  • Internal Audit

We offer a friendly, supportive work environment, one that rewards initiative and commitment. Successful candidates receive a competitive salary, pension plan, paid society exam fees and materials, paid study days to write exams, and access to an on-site actuarial library. Canada Life employees also enjoy outdoor recreational facilities, an on-site fitness centre, an on-site cafeteria, and an active social committee.

Our Actuarial Interns participate in a variety of team-building activities and professional development activities that help to strengthen skills and contribute to building strong relationships among our Actuarial staff. Past activities have included exam results parties, trivia nights, rock climbing, snow tubing, and a scavenger hunt.

The base salary for this position is between $49,020 - $88,350 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation (i.e. annual bonus, commission, etc.). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.

Career opportunities will be open a minimum of 5 business days from the date of posting; closing dates will vary depending on the search activity. All applications received will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
