Make your mark in Actuarial
Our Actuaries are on the front lines, quantifying risk, pricing insurance, and reserving losses for AIG’s major insurance operating companies globally. We collaborate with Finance, Claims, Operations, Marketing, and Risk Management, among other functions. As an AIG actuary, you will be challenged and encouraged to reach your greatest potential to help improve how we predict, manage, and mitigate risk.
How you will create an impact
Main Responsibilities
- Perform Local Gaap Technical Provisions (UPR, LTP-UPR (RVNE), IBNYR, IBNER, ALAE, ULAE, RVR) for Insurance and Reinsurance Companies
- Perform Consistency Tests and monitor Local Gaap, Technical Provisions Adequacy for Insurance and Reinsurance Companies
- Perform Local Gaap Liability Test Adequacy (TAP) required by Local Regulator for Insurance and Reinsurance Companies
- Perform Minimum Capital Requirement (CMR) required by Local Regulator for Insurance and Reinsurance Companies
- Perform Reserves and Products Technical Notes according to requirements by Local Regulator
- Perform Monthly Closing of Books and Statistical Data Deliveries required by Local Regulator during team vacation leave
- Perform Actuarial Studies required by Local Regulator
- Perform ALM Report to the Investment team
- Perform Coverage of Commitment Report to the Investment team
- Attend Local Gaap Annual External Audit Process
- Attend Local Gaap Regulator Letters and all other Local Gaap Reports and Activities
- Develop Reports and KPIs
- Support actuarial team
- Manage databases
What you’ll need to succeed
- Previous experience with Reserving Calculation on UPR (PPNG), LTP (RVNE), and IBNR
- Previous experience with Reserving Methods: DFM (Triang. RuOff), BF, IELR (Sinistralidade Esperada)
- Previous experience with Reserve Consistency Tests
- Previous experience with local closing, FIP SUSEP, and SUSEP Statistical Data
- Programming proficiency in SAS
- Good Analytical skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, or Math
- Personal Organization, good communication, and analytical skills are valued
- Willing and able to continuously learn and adapt in a dynamic and fast-changing environment
- Basic / Intermediate English skills are desired
- Previous experience with Liability test Adequacy Calculation is desired
- Python is desired and a differential
- MIBA is desired
