Retirement Actuarial Associate/Experienced Associate
Location: Cleveland, Ohio or Columbus, Ohio

What the Day Will Look Like
- Pass actuarial exams (minimal requirement of one course per year)
- Prepare contribution requirements and accounting costs, with some oversight
- Update valuation runs for any changes and program provisions from scratch
- Interpret valuation results and provide initial recommendations to lead actuary
- Perform more complicated or review more simple pension benefit calculations
- Mentor/train entry level students
- Draft original materials (e.g. letters, reports, discussion guides)
Skills and Experience That Will Lead to Success
- 2-3 years of actuarial work experience
- Completion of several exams
- Reconciliation of liability gains and losses
- Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint
Preferred Experience:
- ASA or EA Designations
- Pension experience
- Valuation programming on ProVal system
- Basic knowledge of funding methods
- Minimum and/or maximum funding calculations
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or a similar field

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $70k-$95k annually. The actual salary will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
