Job Description
Join our DC & Workplace Savings team as a Pricing Actuary and play a key role in shaping pricing strategies that deliver fair value for customers and drive sustainable growth. You’ll work closely with commercial and distribution teams, using your actuarial expertise to influence decisions and optimise outcomes.
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering accurate pricing for new and existing Workplace schemes in line with Group standards and policies.
- Developing and maintaining robust commercial models and pricing strategies that support profitability and growth.
- Supporting wider commercial activities including illustration projections and bespoke pricing requests.
- Preparing and challenging Management Information to optimise end-to-end value for the business.
- Collaborating with Distribution and Pricing teams to ensure strategic alignment in pricing decisions.
- Providing challenge and insight to continuously improve pricing basis and maintain competitive rates.
- Identifying pricing structures that could lead to customer harm and ensuring fair value across cohorts.
- Using data analysis and market insight to guide pricing decisions and respond to regulatory developments.
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
- Qualified actuary with strong technical and commercial acumen.
- Deep knowledge of actuarial techniques and pension products.
- Advanced analytical skills with experience in data manipulation and interpretation.
- Ability to present complex information in clear, non-technical language.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple teams.
- Experience leading projects and managing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strategic thinker with sound judgement and attention to risk control.
- Flexible and proactive approach with a drive to deliver high-quality outcomes.
