Key projects may include analyzing new regulatory frameworks and their impacts on RIS products, new product development initiatives, new market entry strategies, and development of new and innovative capital strategies.

The role provides an opportunity to drive and execute these initiatives independently by working closely with various teams including but not limited to reinsurance, treasury, risk, actuarial, finance, investments, legal, and operations. This is a highly visible role within the organization and can drive significant shareholder value.

How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)

New & emerging regulatory frameworks – Analyze and develop strategy for implementation of new regulatory frameworks (ex. Principle-based reserving (PBR)) for RIS products. Analyze current ALM, reinsurance, and pricing strategies under new regulatory frameworks and partner with relevant teams to implement new frameworks into pricing models.

Reinsurance strategy - Develop & modify reinsurance strategy for various RIS products utilizing affiliate and third-party reinsurance vehicles.

New product development – Pricing & early product assessments for new RIS growth markets, with a particular focus on longevity reinsurance, funded reinsurance, and retail annuity reinsurance.

Capital management - Lead the efforts to improve capital efficiency and enhance the business value for RIS.

Stakeholder collaboration – Collaborate with Reinsurance, Treasury, Risk, Actuarial, Finance, Investment, and other relevant business functions to ensure timely completion of key initiatives. Provide guidance to other team members in conducting financial modeling and pricing analysis for the reinsurance and product development initiatives.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, math, statistics, economics, or related discipline
  • FSA, ASA or CFA with 5+ years of insurance industry experience with comprehensive business knowledge
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in innovation or launch of new products/markets
  • Experience in institutional products
  • Functional experience in R&D or ALM or Reinsurance

Location Expectation: This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in office.

The expected salary range for this position is $137,000 - $182,600. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
