We’re looking for a Technical Accounting Manager with deep Solvency II and insurance experience to join our External Reporting team. This is a key role in delivering our Public and PRA Solvency II reporting, managing our offshore reporting team, and ensuring we meet our regulatory and governance obligations on time and to a high standard.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead delivery of Public and PRA Solvency II reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Provide expert technical accounting advice across Finance, Risk, and Tax, interpreting Solvency II and IFRS requirements.
- Review and approve Solvency II balance sheet, own funds, journals, and tax computations prepared offshore.
- Oversee QRT submissions to the PRA and support Audit and Disclosure Committee reporting.
- Manage the coordination and sign-off process for the Solvency and Financial Condition Report (SFCR).
- Support governance, control and assurance frameworks for external reporting.
- Partner with onshore and offshore teams to drive continuous improvement in reporting quality and efficiency.
Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you'll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in our London Riverbank House office.
What you’ll need
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong Solvency II experience and solid understanding of the insurance sector.
- Knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage offshore teams and meet strict reporting deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A proactive, solution-driven mindset — you take ownership, make decisions, and deliver results.
