STG Senior Business Analyst

The STG Senior Business Analyst focuses on crafting tools, identifying improvements, and using advanced software for strategic insights.

What the day will look like:

  • Design, build, and maintain standard and ad-hoc management reports and presentations including quarterly and monthly business reviews, sales pipeline reporting, and other operational dashboards/reports.
  • Develop new and enhanced reports to support capacity planning and resource management, leveraging multiple data sources.
  • Build PowerBI-based dashboards by combining data from different internal systems to display important data and trends.
  • Lead on data management across the portfolio of tools and reporting insights to improve data quality and utilization.
  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for Workday, including project setup, contract requests and invoicing, and act as the key contact for all Workday-related queries for STG.
  • Key contact person for internal CRM (Aon Connect), generating weekly sales reports for STG businesses.
  • Collaborate with business, legal, and operations teams to gather requirements for new reporting needs and future state reporting enhancements.
  • Participate in special projects/initiatives that require technical skills supporting a high-growth business.
  • Identify improvements and implement solutions using advanced Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerBI and PowerApps skills.
  • Support and coordinate STG Business Continuity and Plan Data Privacy Plan.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining business reports, dashboards, and other forms of metrics.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI needed; familiarity with VBA Macros and PowerApps is a plus.
  • Experience with Workday is a plus.
  • Ability to synthesize and analyse data to help drive informed decisions.
  • MS PowerPoint / visual graphs and charts creation for management presentations.
  • Ability to understand financial / IT data and systems to quickly get up to speed, and leverage available data to meet the needs of the business cases and market assessments.
  • Creative approach willing to challenge/change processes/reports with better ideas.

Education and qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree – Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Mathematics, Computer Science or similar.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (including presentation) skills and a proven ability to develop, maintain and enhance relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts.
  • Analytical approach and strong data management skills with experience in manipulating, analysing and presenting data insights are important.
  • Methodical and well-organised approach.
  • Flexible/agile mentality and comfortable handling multiple responsibilities.
  • Facilitation, co-ordination and project management skills.
  • Ability to work with people across multiple locations and functions.
