Senior Actuarial Analyst (Pricing)

Position objectives and position summary

The L&H Pricing & Contracts (LHPC) is a global team responsible for defining L&H risk appetite, review of transactions, pricing tools, methodology, new business steering, and contract wording. This role is part of the PRIMA team within LHPC Bangalore and supports work on pricing tools, methodology, and governance.

Main tasks/activities/responsibilities

  • Extract, analyse and report on costing and quote data.
  • Impact testing of new parameters or methodology for costing.
  • Consult and advise regional pricing teams on pricing methodology topics.
  • Support in development and testing of new functionality of L&H costing applications.
  • Investigate issues and develop solutions related to costing tools and processes.
  • Programming skills used for analysis and visualization of results.
  • Document and communicate results to senior colleagues.
  • Question existing processes & suggest improvements.

Job requirements

  • Graduate or Post-graduate in Business Mgt/Insurance/Actuarial Science/Mathematics/Statistics.
  • 3+ years of experience in the Life & Health actuarial domain.
  • Minimum 5 Actuarial Exams passed.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work accurately and deliver to deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong learning motive.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Advanced Coding Skills (R Prog, VBA).
