Actuarial Specialist (DB Operational Development)

Purpose: This role focuses on the innovation and development of actuarial services for member and operational services.
Job Role Accountabilities:
- Manage actuarial testing and sign-off for new schemes loaded to automation.
- Maintain data quality and integrity throughout the calculation process.
- Improve and innovate the calculation process to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Provide direction for standard and non-standard member option calculations.
- Develop a deep knowledge of all systems and tools used by our actuarial and operational teams.
- Drive projects forward to ensure they progress in line with expected timescales.
- Assist in the development of junior DB team members through training and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications: Obtained FIA qualification
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel.
- Good interpersonal, team working, and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Strong technical skills and deep technical knowledge of actuarial concepts.
- Strong knowledge and awareness of the DB buy-in/buy-out market, life insurance, and relevant regulation.
Experience: Good experience of working within a pension consultancy or life insurance company
