Actuarial Analyst (Corporate)

About the Role:

  • Support the development and maintenance of Life & Health AXIS models used for financial reporting and portfolio management in US and Canada
  • Provide support to AXIS MCoE team leads to help resolve model issues through debugging, unit testing and knowledge sharing as required
  • Ability to handle stakeholder requests and deliver solutions independently
  • Produce high quality models and associated documentation for the user community. Ensure model development and testing activities are in accordance with agreed model governance framework and testing procedures
  • Enhance and extend various existing model building tools and model validation tools as needed
  • Support the development of IT systems to enable the rapid transition to the target landscape, and help drive operational excellence

Drive continuous process improvements to maximize productivity and work product quality

About the Team

We reside within the L&H Business Management division, which manages our reinsurance business. With a team size of approximately 20 colleagues spanning multiple geographic locations, you will have the opportunity to influence a wide variety of team goals and add to team spirit.

About you:

  • A highly motivated and internally driven individual with good progress toward fellowship with at-least 0 - 2 years of experience
  • Proficiency in AXIS and SQL is desirable
  • Excellent understanding of fundamental actuarial concepts
  • Ability to work independently, accurately and deliver to deadlines
  • Excellent communication and social skills to build and maintain positive relationships, internally within the team and externally with key partners
  • Reliability โ€“ integrity, judgement, energy/will, ownership, analytical power
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills with attention to detail; able to quickly absorb details on business structure, product features and model requirements
  • Shows initiative in identifying issues and supporting other team members, peers and senior stakeholders
  • Growth mentality with a dedication to maintain a team spirit based on openness and respect
  • Desire to learn from highly skilled industry professionals across multiple fields to grow your professional development
