Actuarial Systems Developer

Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the IT Actuarial Functions & Systems team at our headquarters in Hannover/Germany, join us on a permanent basis commencing at the earliest possible date as a ETL Developer Actuarial Systems & Functions.

Your Tasks

  • Data extraction and transformation (ETL): you develop effective ETL processes to extract and transform data from various sources and load them to actuarial data models.
  • Data integration: you implement data integration solutions to establish a seamless connection between different systems and data sources.
  • Collaboration within the team: you work closely with other developers, data analysts and actuaries to understand the requirements for data processing and develop efficient solutions.
  • Technical documentation: you create detailed technical documentation for the developed ETL processes and data integration solutions.
  • Further and advanced training: you participate in relevant events / conferences, plan and hold internal events and workshops at your own responsibility

Your Profile

  • Degree in computer science / business IT or equivalent qualification
  • Initial experience or internships in the financial service sector, ideally in the insurance industry, is desirable
  • Basic understanding of data warehousing as well as data modelling with Snowflake and/or Star Schema
  • Good knowledge of one or more programming languages such as JavaScript or SQL
  • Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g. Informatica PowerCenter) is an asset
  • Comprehensive know-how in the field of Business Intelligence
  • Proficient user skills in German and English (at least level C1)
