Pricing Manager

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 (National), £75,000 - £85,000 (London)

Aviva are currently seeking a Pricing Manager within the Retail Pricing Team- part of the wider PLU (Personal Lines Underwriting) Community. Both permanent and secondment opportunities are available!

Our team are responsible for the pricing of all Motor and Home insurance products sold directly through Aviva brands to customers.

We use cutting edge analytical techniques to give customers a price and product they are satisfied with. This requires keen and detailed insight, expert risk management and collaboration with different teams across the business.

A bit about the job:

In this role, you will be responsible for managing account performance, seeking opportunities to improve pricing efficiency, leading on delivery of new data sources to improve accuracy of pricing, and providing analysis-based pricing recommendations for continual improvement of Retail products.

The successful individual will also be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and ensure and evidence regulatory compliance through testing and monitoring, all whilst leading, supporting, and developing a team, fostering a culture of learning and development within the PLU community.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Pricing or similar experience within the UK general insurance market
  • Experience working with large datasets and statistical models.
  • Experience of coaching and developing teams.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Radar, SQL is desirable.
  • Experience of stakeholder management and ability to communicate technical findings or analysis to non-technical audiences.

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Starting salary between £55,000 and £85,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
