Actuarial Analyst (Business Area Analysis)

If you want to experience how things are done in the Group Finance team at our headquarters in Hannover/Germany, join us on a permanent, full-time basis commencing at the earliest possible date as an Actuarial Analyst Business Area Analysis.

Your Tasks

Your commitment is needed for the analysis of results in international life and health reinsurance in connection with the quarterly financial statements, forecasts and planning. In this role you work closely with other specialist departments in-house in Hannover and at our international locations.

  • Analysis, plausibility checks and comments in connection with the preparation of the quarterly financial statements (IFRS 17/HGB)
  • Contributing to the compilation of actuarial planning and forecast data as well as analysing and commenting on the results
  • Preparation of results analyses, business evaluations and presentations to support the Executive Board and the business and service divisions
  • Regular coordination with internal stakeholders as well as collaboration on interdepartmental projects

Your Profile

  • Initial professional experience in actuarial services, controlling or accounting with a primary insurer or reinsurer
  • Degree in (business) mathematics or economics (with a quantitative/analytical focus)
  • Knowledge of IFRS and HGB accounting standards as well as Solvency II is an advantage
  • Understanding of economic issues and interrelationships
  • Initial actuarial know-how is welcome, further training as an actuary will be supported by us
  • Confident in the use of Excel, PowerPoint, familiarity with accounting and analysis tools is an advantage
  • Proficient user skills in German and English (level C1)
