Business Development Rep (IF)
Aon is currently recruiting for a Business Development Representative to join our Impact Forecasting (IF) team in the U.S. Impact Forecasting develops, maintains, supports, and promotes the use of catastrophe models for various natural and human-made perils including flood, windstorm, earthquake, fire, and terrorism.
The team of 160 members is spread across 5 offices around the world (Prague, London, Chicago, Singapore, and Bangalore) and comprises scientists, model and software developers, business development, and client support colleagues.
The Business Development Representative team will work in collaboration with Aon colleagues in promoting Impact Forecasting’s U.S. catastrophe models and solutions to insurers and reinsurers globally. This role will play an integral part in expanding existing Aon client relationships and prospecting new business to drive revenue growth.

About the role
- Drive sales and adoption of IF’s U.S. solutions by building and maintaining client relationships.
- Build awareness and understanding of the IF solution by conducting technical sales presentations to clients and prospects and articulating the value proposition to a senior audience.
- Develop quotes and proposals for prospective clients.
- Partner with Aon colleagues to increase adoption and usage of IF solutions across Risk Capital teams and the market.
- Support model validation and change management efforts.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in natural sciences or economics/finance related subjects.
- 6-8 years’ experience in insurance or financial services, with a solid understanding of catastrophe/climate models and their use within the financial services sector.
- 5+ years’ sales experience with a proven track record of driving revenue growth in the insurance, technology, and ideally catastrophe/climate modelling spheres.
- Ability to influence different audiences and stakeholders across (re)insurers.
- Proven experience of working with clients across account management and/or business development activities.
- Good communication skills with the ability to present to a wide audience (insurers, reinsurers, technology partners) on technical subjects such as model outputs, hazard/risk scores, and event response services.
- Strong project and task management skills, with the capability to work in a team, independently, under pressure, multi-task, and prioritize work.
- Willingness to travel.

Pay transparency laws:
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $105,000 to $130,000 USD annually. The actual salary will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant’s geographic location.
