The Financial Accounting Manager supports the Production and Control Senior Lead to ensure that all production activities are performed to provide a foundation for finance data and reporting.

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensuring that all technical finance journals are validated, posted promptly and controls checked.

  • Accountability for Solvency II balance sheet oversight.

  • Support the Production and Control Senior Lead to manage service level agreements.

  • Challenge the month-end financial accounting process and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Review legal entity and consolidated financial statements. Analyse significant movements in the balance sheet and provide appropriate monthly reporting.

  • Review substantiation evidence to auditing concepts, including completeness, existence and accuracy.

  • Collaborate with appropriate Finance colleagues on any Group-wide/Finance projects and new products. Provide technical accounting and financial process expertise to project requirements' specifications. Support user acceptance testing and implementation of new financial accounting outputs.

  • Support the audit of the Group's legal entities, control environment and financial records.

Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you'll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office.

What you'll need:

  • Qualified accountant qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a minimum of five years post-qualified experience.

  • Knowledge of IFRS17.

  • Knowledge of applying IAS 38 Intangible Assets, IAS 16 Property, Plant and Equipment and IAS 36 Impairment of Assets.

  • Experience in substantiation and reconciliation, including applying auditing concepts.
