An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Actuarial Audit Manager to join our Global Internal Audit team! Our team’s purpose is to make it click while protecting the customers, assets, reputation and the sustainability of Aviva. This is a great job for a tenacious and qualified actuary, with experience gained from working within General Insurance (GI) and who is keen to progress their career working with the UK leading Insurance, Retirement and wealth management business.

A bit about the job:

We focus on what matters to make things better and in order to do that, our team delivers a plan of audit work which assesses and reports on the efficiency of the control environment to manage the key risks to Aviva. You will collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute audits to a high quality to provide audit assurance and insights over material risks facing Aviva.

This will primarily be those risks facing the GI businesses but could cover a wider range of actuarial areas. You will need to test key technical actuarial controls in areas such as actuarial reserving, reporting, modelling, pricing, underwriting, reinsurance, etc. Communicating and reporting to stakeholders the assessment of the efficiency of the framework of controls, root causes and culture is also a key aspect of this role.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Professional actuarial qualification and equivalent business experience within General Insurance
  • Relevant technical expertise in UK insurance risk
  • Readiness to learn and contribute in actuarial areas outside of your area of specialism
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to positively influence business outcomes
  • Background and interest in data analytics is desirable

  • Starting salary of £65,000 – £75,000 (National) and £80,000 - £90,000 (London based applicants) depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
