Job Title: BPA Senior Pricing Actuary

Contract Type: Permanent

Location: Alderley Park, London or Edinburgh

Working style: Hybrid 50% home/office based

The bulk annuity business is an exciting key area of growth for Royal London. We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Pricing Actuary to join the BPA pricing team.

Working closely with the BPA pricing leads and actuarial trainees, you will be responsible for ensuring bulk annuity transactions are priced appropriately.

The ideal candidate will have experience of pensions or the bulk annuity market, either from a consultant or insurer perspective. The role will suit a candidate with a strong technical base who would relish the opportunity to develop within a developing bulk annuity provider.

About the Role

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies for BPA products.
  • Analyse and interpret data to support pricing decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust pricing models accordingly.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of pricing processes.

About You

  • Qualified actuary with relevant experience in BPA pricing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in actuarial software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
