Actuary (Motor & P&C Insurance)

If you want to experience how things are done in the Technical Underwriting team at our headquarters in Hannover, Germany, join us on a permanent basis, commencing at the earliest possible date as an Actuary / Mathematician Motor and Property Insurance.

You can look forward to:

• You will conduct in-depth market analyses in motor and property insurance.
• You will perform portfolio analyses with a focus on E+S Rück’s business and provide valuable insights for our specialist departments.
• You will develop and maintain actuarial tools (Excel, R, BI/MicroStrategy).
• You will actively contribute to the automation of underwriting processes and help shape a future-oriented system landscape.

You come equipped with:

• Successfully completed degree in (business) mathematics, economics, or a comparable field of study.
• Several years of professional experience in (re)insurance, along with knowledge of motor and property insurance.
• Actuarial expertise, e.g., through DAV courses, CERA, or similar, ideally with completed DAV qualification.
• Calculation and programming skills in R and VBA.
• German at business-fluent and English at a good conversational level.
• Willingness to undertake occasional one- to two-day business trips.
• Strong analytical thinking, initiative, and confident demeanor.
