Actuary (P&C Reinsurance)

Let's connect: If you want to experience how things are done in the Group Risk Management team at our headquarters in Hannover/Germany, join us on a permanent, full-time basis commencing at the earliest possible date as an Actuary (P&C Reinsurance).

You can look forward to:

  • The Group Risk Management department is responsible, among other things, for risk management and actuarial tasks relating to property and casualty insurance business. You will support our team with ongoing inspections.
  • Further refinement of methods and systems used to evaluate the loss reserves
  • Contributing to the operation and further development of the internal capital model used to determine risks
  • Performing analyses in the context of internal steering and monitoring processes
  • Assisting with the fulfilment of supervisory requirements
  • Collaborating with our international locations over actuarial monitoring processes
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration with various departments

You come equipped with:

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in (business) mathematics, economics or other relevant academic disciplines with a quantitative orientation
  • Initial Experience of working in actuarial departments at an insurer or reinsurer is desirable
  • Programming skills as well as proficiency in using databases are an advantage
  • Independent user skills in German (level B2) and proficient user skills in English (at least level C1)
  • Analytical thinking and sharp intellectual grasp
