Internship Program:

We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our summer internship program. As an intern with American Modern, you will gain practical experience, build professional relationships, and contribute to the success of our organization.

As a valued intern with our Actuary team, you will work alongside our analysts and line leads doing standard actuarial work - rate indications, filing preparation, and ad hoc analyses. You'll get insight into data, terminology, analytics, and business interaction. Projects will include rate indications, actuarial analyses, governance assessment, and more.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Math, Actuarial Science, or Statistics.
• Must have passed at least one Actuarial Exam.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week.
• Experience in either SQL, R, or Python.
• Confidence in the use of MS Office 365 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Notes, Teams).
• Candidates must be local (Amelia, OH) and have reliable transportation due to the hybrid work schedule. Interns will work in the office at least 2 days a week.
• Applicants requiring employer sponsorship of a visa will not be considered for this position.
