Job Purpose/ Role
We are looking for an Actuarial Analyst to join our Corporate Actuarial team at Allianz Re, the Allianz Group’s global “in-house” reinsurance company. You would be located in Munich or Dublin.
Key responsibilities
- Developing a solid understanding of internal reporting models, processes and systems and identifying areas for improvement / automation
- Specifying, testing and implementing process changes according to Allianz SE Solo Guideline for Business Testing
- Updating reserving guidelines and process documents for governance purposes Integration of Solvency II and IFRS 17 model outputs into accounting and actuarial reporting systems
- Bridging the gap between actuarial department and model development and data management departments
- Providing technical guidance to other team members in own areas of expertise
Qualifications
- University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related quantitative field
- Partly qualified actuary and/or willingness to study towards actuarial qualification
- Programming (R/SAS) and database (SQL/Oracle) experience with a focus on data quality
- Strong MS Excel skills required, advanced functionalities (VBA, PowerQuery) are an advantage
- Advanced command of written and spoken English is required; German is an advantage
- Strong analytical and communication skills
Experience & Key skills
- Professional work experience in a related function is an advantage Knowledge of actuarial models and financial reporting processes
- Self-directed, organised and willing to work under time pressure Team player with the ability to work independently with attention to detail
- Ability to work in an international and multi-cultural environment
