The Actuarial Reserving Support Team within Global Risk Solutions (GRS) Actuarial is seeking a motivated Junior or Senior Data Solutions Analyst. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on independent thinking, creative problem-solving, and adapting to changing challenges.

In this role, you will use your strong technical skills β especially in Python and SQL β to automate workflows, enhance data processes, and deliver valuable insights supporting GRS reserving.
We encourage self-driven candidates who are eager to explore new technologies and approaches with minimal supervision. Additional technical skills and the ability to quickly learn new tools are a plus.
This is a remote position. You will be required to go into the office twice a week if you reside within 50 miles of a Liberty Mutual office. Please note this policy is subject to change.
Responsibilities:
- Apply advanced technical skills (Python, SQL, and others) to automate and optimize complex data workflows that support reserving activities.
- Collaborate closely with reserving actuaries to understand business needs, identify challenges, and deliver tailored technical solutions that add value.
- Communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively to stakeholders across various levels, including senior management.
- Participate in special projects involving Robotic Process Automation (RPA), ResQ reserving software, and internal data platforms.
- Work closely with global teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements and promote a seamless user experience.
- Regularly meet with your manager to review progress, align on priorities, and seek guidance as needed.
- Develop tools, processes, and documentation to enhance transparency, efficiency, and stakeholder engagement across reserving and pricing teams as well as related business units.
Qualifications:
- Strong written and oral communication skills required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
- Master's in same or related disciplines strongly preferred.
- 2 to 4 years experience in coding for data management, data warehousing, or other data environments, including, but not limited to, working in NoSQL implementation, ETL, Java, scripting languages (Python, Perl, Shell), and the Hadoop stack.
