Associate Actuary (Actuarial CoE Asia)

Description and Requirements

Summary of Responsibilities:

Support MetLife Japan in preparation of Value of New Business (VNB), including automation and maintenance of such tools.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Assist with VNB production and analysis
• Prepare and update the documentation of VNB
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery
• Identify enhancements and implement improvements to current work processes
• Perform ad hoc requests

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science
• Strong execution in delivering outputs within deadlines and investigating root-cause analysis
• General learning skills, flexible adaptation to variable circumstances, and a positive attitude towards learning
• Proficient verbal and written English skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel (VBA), Word, Access, and PowerPoint; exposure to Prophet and DCS preferred

Qualification Required:

• Good academic results with progress in actuarial papers preferred
