Actuarial Analyst
About Role
This role is part of the CPT team within LHPC Bangalore and has the responsibility of maintenance and availability of the actuarial model for the pricing team. The role provides support to the CPT team in its day-to-day activities and other requirements.
- To set up and maintain inputs, organize results for developing further reports, assess quality, and validate results.
- To support in the development and testing of Actuarial Costing Tools, with a main focus on CPT.
- Use of Actuarial Basis – Shareholder Reporting Rules (EVM) and USGAAP for model development and testing.
- Develop and improve testing tools.
- Apply technical knowledge and process skills to solve problems and develop solutions, i.e., investigating and interpreting data issues/results.
- Support in documenting and communicating outcomes and results to senior colleagues in the team.
- Question existing processes and suggest improvements.
- Added advantage if knowledge of advanced coding skills, mainly R Programming and C#.
About the Team
The LHPC is a global team with employees located in at least 14 cities around the world. The team is responsible for defining L&H risk appetite, reviewing large and unusual transactions, pricing tools, methodology and governance, new business steering, and contract wording. Our vision is to engage the Swiss Re community to steer and enable our L&H business with the goal of making the world more resilient.
About You
- 0-1 year work experience (Freshers preferred).
- Graduate or Post-graduate in Business Management, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- Minimum 3 Actuarial Exams passed as per the new curriculum.
- Understand basic insurance concepts and data analytics tools.
- Ability to work accurately and deliver to deadlines.
- Must be able to interpret business specifications and ask clarifying questions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong learning motive.
- Proficiency in working with MS Office and advanced coding skills in R Programming.
