Senior Actuarial Analyst
If you want to experience how things are done in the Finance & Corporate Actuarial team at our Hong Kong Branch, join us on a permanent, full-time basis commencing at the earliest possible date as an Actuarial Analyst.
You can look forward to:
- Performing valuation processes in line with specified methodologies and assumptions, particularly for solvency reporting such as HKRBC basis, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
- Analyzing and interpreting results to provide clear, meaningful insights for various stakeholders, investigating anomalies, trends, or inconsistencies as needed.
- Reviewing and validating data from cedants to ensure compliance with contract terms; resolving discrepancies or unusual patterns.
- Collaborating with internal teams—including accounting, underwriting, and fellow actuaries—to ensure data integrity and accuracy across core databases.
- Proposing and executing improvements to actuarial processes, reporting tools, and documentation standards.
- Handling ad hoc requests and/or other actuarial/database projects as required.
You come equipped with:
- Degree holder in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 2-4 years of relevant actuarial experience is preferable. Candidates with lesser experience will be considered for the Actuarial Analyst title.
- Progress in actuarial exams with a recognized actuarial body is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL; experience with other programming languages is a plus.
- Strong logical reasoning and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Team player with good interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese as you will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
