This is your opportunity to join this great community in the role of Actuarial Analyst in Reserving. You will perform actuarial calculations to assist the relevant business units within CTP and Workers Compensation in obtaining and managing a profitable business by supporting the work of more experienced actuaries/reserving specialists.

The key responsibilities for this role include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Develop relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrate general understanding of the business unit and QBE support functions
  • Develop broader awareness of industry issues
  • Conduct actuarial or reserving research as required, including preparing, manipulating, interpreting data under the direction of a Senior Analyst or Manager
  • Responsible for carrying out assignments or projects, performing actuarial analysis, investigations, and modelling under supervision
  • Build and check good code base for data preparation in a repeatable and sustainable manner

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in actuarial studies, mathematics, statistics or equivalent relevant disciplines.
  • Proven actuarial expertise within General Insurance, in reserving or pricing, and readiness to take the next step in your career with a leading global insurer known for providing career development and progression opportunities.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to generate outside-the-box creative solutions.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) to liaise with stakeholders at varying levels across the business to influence best practice outcomes.
