Associate Actuarial Analyst
Swiss Re Life & Health is looking for a bright undergraduate who is actively pursuing a career in actuarial science. Our Actuarial Development Program is designed to provide students with work assignments and projects that are challenging, educational, and promote personal and professional development.
Essential Responsibilities May Include Subsets of the Following:
- Responsible for assisting in the creation of pricing models
- Responsible for testing mortality table updates
- Responsible for assisting in the preparation and analysis of mortality and lapse experience data and periodic studies
- Responsible for supporting quarterly valuations and earnings analysis
- Responsible for supporting the maintenance of the reserve valuation system
Ancillary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for compliance with the provisions of the Actuarial Development Program, including exam progression and participation in other educational opportunities
- Develop technical skills with software and systems such as Visual Basic, SAS, SQL Server, MSBI, Tableau, R, ALFA, AXIS, LMS, and MoSes
- Responsible for assisting in responses to requests of clients, reinsurance partners, regulators, internal and external auditors, and rating agencies
Requirements:
- Requires attention to detail, good organization skills, and the ability to work independently
- Successfully completed a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- Prefer completion of at least 2 Society of Actuaries exams
- Technical skills using MS Excel and a programming language
The estimated base salary range for this position is $66,000 to $116,000. The specific salary offered will take into account various factors including job location, scope of role, qualifications, and experience.
