Actuarial Analyst

Your new role

  • Support Asia Actuarial team in performing portfolio analysis, enhance models to analyze claim trends and identify risk associated with adequacy of technical reserves.
  • Business partner with underwriter leads on portfolio management and insights, budgeting, underwriting decisions.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to improve the data process by simplification and automation.
  • Develop and maintain performance dashboard and data visualization to provide actionable insights to the Claims and Underwriting teams.
  • Monitor performance and drive improvement on rate change, retention, case reserve adequacy and portfolio profitability.

About you

  • Strong problem-solving skills with sharp analytical mindset.
  • Highly adaptable and fast pace to handle the constant changes in the General Insurance market.
  • Good communication skills translating technical topics for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree holder in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Business Analytics, Actuarial or related discipline.
  • 1-2 years actuarial experience (Fresh Graduate will be considered).
  • Knowledge of SQL and database systems – comfortable working with large data sets.
  • Knowledge of Excel/VBA, SAS, R, Python or similar statistical software.
  • Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI or other data visualization tools a plus.
  • Fluency in English and other Asian languages a plus.
