About the role



We are looking for the special actuary! You will have a unique and exciting opportunity to join a diverse and motivated team, committed to delivering value and innovative services together with our clients and partners in the primary insurance space.



You will be a member of the product management team where product managers and actuaries are working very close together or are even united in one person. You will be responsible for the pricing development of easy-to-understand insurance products suitable for digitalization for our focus markets Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and Portugal. You will work closely in cross-functional teams evaluating key consumer needs to build a great customer experience using brand-new technology solutions. While enabling attractive sales journeys, you will ensure robust underwriting, and work together with the claims team to ensure end-to-end automation capabilities. You will report to the Head Product Management DACH.



Your responsibilities include:

	Generate pricing metrics for profitability management and benchmark analytics as well as partnership with the reserving department

	Create very modular tariffs with focus on motor enabling high flexibility on coverage and object bundles while keeping adverse selection risks under tight control

	Develop innovative and easy to understand P&amp;C products starting from our customers' perspective and in close collaboration with claims

	In case of limited claims data, define technical and commercial tariffs for newly developed products while also performing more sophisticated actuarial analysis (GLM and new methods) for bigger portfolios

	Continuously improve the selection and pricing of risks through the use of leading-edge pricing tools and models incl. predictive analytics
