The GPA practice focuses on providing actuarial consulting services to Medicare and Medicaid payers. This actuarial consulting practice competes with other traditional actuarial consulting organizations in the industry.The GPA practice primarily works with non-United Health Group payer entities and focuses on creating top-tier actuarial solutions for its customers. Since this job is a consultative role, work responsibilities will vary based on customer needs.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>Assist in the development of actuarial and analytical models related to Part C Bids</li><li>Design mathematical analyses and actuarial models to evaluate plan financial performance and benefit plan design</li><li>Maintain existing models and tools related to Part C Bids, plan financial performance, and product strategy</li></ul>You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree</li><li>1 Actuarial Exam Passed</li><li>2+ years of actuarial experience</li><li>Experience building financial models in Excel and VBA</li><li>Expertise in Excel and Microsoft Office suite</li><li>Experience with SAS or SQL, and working with large claim datasets</li><li>Proven well-developed oral and written communication skills</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work on multiple work streams and projects effectively</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>2+ Actuarial Exams Passed</li><li>Medical claims data analysis</li></ul>The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment.
