Actuarial Intern (Winter/Spring 2025)
About the Team:
This is an exciting opportunity to join Swiss Re's Life & Health team. The role will support the work of our actuaries in the Life & Health Actuarial Management area in activities such as model construction/validation, experience studies, and financial reporting, including IFRS 17 and Swiss Statutory reporting. Students will have the opportunity to work with colleagues within the Swiss Re group located around the globe.
About the Role:
As a participant of the Swiss Re Co-op program, you'll take on concrete tasks and various projects straightaway, supported by your team. Networking, social, and business events will allow you to fully experience Swiss Re's company culture.
About You
Education and Technical Skills
- Must be available to work for Winter/Spring 2025 (preferably 8 months)
- Pursuing and currently enrolled in Bachelor or Master's in actuarial science, mathematics, or related fields.
- Exceptional academic performance (GPA of 3.0 and above).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Completion of 1 or more internships in insurance or business is an asset.
- Completion of 2 or more actuarial exams is preferred.
- Candidates should have proficient MS Office skills, especially Excel.
- Exposure to AXIS, SQL, and VBA are definite assets.
