Location: Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC, Role will be in a Hybrid Model

Responsibilities:

  • Perform strategy and actuarial consulting including benefit strategy, goal setting, benchmarking, plan design, pricing strategy, budget setting, and bid/selection projects.
  • Provide actuarial client leadership on targeted clients/prospects focusing on broader business objectives.
  • Exhibit leadership in business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutions.
  • Explain actuarial methodology and results to clients, as well as potential alternatives.
  • Participate in strategic discussions with clients.
  • Effectively lead actuarial client teams, share client background and goals, measure results, and provide timely coaching and feedback to team members.
  • Lead actuarial work on client teams, provide technical coaching, and manage large actuarial projects and deliverables.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the practice through national model development and leading initiatives.

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Health Analytics. This role will assist the lead actuary and consultants on assigned large accounts and manage/lead smaller actuarial engagements.

Skills and Expertise That Will Lead to Success:

  • FSA/ASA designation.
  • 6+ years of health care industry experience (carrier or consulting).
  • Project management experience.
  • People management/mentoring experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $107k-$140k annually. The actual salary will vary based on the applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
