Actuarial Analyst
If you want to experience how things are done in the Finance & Corporate Actuarial team at our Hong Kong Branch, join us on a temporary basis for 24 months commencing as soon as possible as a Actuarial Analyst.
You can look forward to
- Assisting in financial reporting, regulatory reporting and management reporting under various basis especially for Hong Kong Risk Based Capital (HK RBC) regime and IFRS 17 standard.
- Enhancing methodology, tools and model for a more efficient valuation cycle
- Analyzing data and results to provide meaningful explanation of results in appropriate form for various stakeholders
- Providing support on maintaining proper audit trail of control evidence
- Analyzing data provided by cedants to ensure alignment with contract terms, and investigate and explain trends, or any spotted inconsistencies
- Performing data quality remediation actions when necessary
- Working closely with accounting, actuarial and underwriting staff to ensure data quality and accuracy in the core databases
- Handling ad hoc requests and/or other financial/actuarial/database projects as required
You come equipped with
- Degree holder in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, computer science, or related discipline
- Candidate with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferable. The opportunity is open to fresh graduates as well.
- Good progress in Actuarial exams with a recognized Actuarial body will be an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suites and solid experience in writing SQL language
- Hands on experience on VBA or other programming language skill will be a plus
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Proactive, independent and possess commitment on process improvement
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadline
