GLOBAL ATLANTIC'S INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Global Atlantic offers an immersive 10 week summer internship program that allows students to learn critical skills in a business setting. Our program runs from June 3, 2024 to August 9, 2024. We offer Executive Business Overviews, Networking Challenges, Social Events, interaction with senior leaders, meaningful work and so much more.

POSITION OVERVIEW

GAFC BL is the Bermuda-based entity of Global Atlantic Financial Group (“GAFG”). Through its subsidiaries GAFG offers a broad range of retirement, life and reinsurance products designed to help their customers address financial challenges, with confidence. GAFC BL is a fast-paced, collaborative entrepreneurial culture, committed to investing in its people because it believes they are critical to the long-term success of its business.

The successful applicant will work with the Actuarial, Finance and Risk teams and will have opportunities to gain hands-on experience with production processes and entry-level finance functions. Depending on the intern's specific skill set, opportunities may also exist to conduct a research project/present recommendation based on findings, and if tech-savvy, to build a technical tool for potential ongoing use within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Actuarial, Operations or Finance Teams.
  • Gain hands-on experience with production processes and entry-level finance functions.
  • Conduct a research project/present recommendations based on findings, and if tech-savvy, build a technical tool for potential ongoing use within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • If you graduate in 2024 or 2025 and are interested in pursuing a career in a re/insurance environment we want to hear from you!
  • Majoring in Actuarial Science and Finance; however, consideration will be given to business-related fields (e.g., accounting, (re)insurance, economics, etc.)
  • Seeking hard-working, dynamic university students who are studying actuarial science for an internship running from June 3, 2024 - August 9, 2024!
